an inquiry into Google’s Pathways Language Model 2, also known as
PaLM2. EDPB called
for expression of interest for an event on Consent or Pay guidelines. BEUC and members filed
complaints to the European Commission and CPC-Network on deceptive practices by
video game companies. French Data Protection Authority fined
CEGEDIM SANTÉ €800,000 for unlawful processing of health data. Netherlands’ Authority of Consumers and Markets(ACM)
published
guidelines on the Digital Services Act (DSA) for providers of online services.

Tech, US officials discussed
AI development, data and power needs at the White House. Colombia’s SIC fined
ambulance service COP 69.8 M for failure to register personal data processing
activities. DuckDuckGo launched
a new browser-based tool that automatically scans data broker websites for name
and address and requests that they be removed.

Australia’s Privacy and Other Legislation
Amendment Bill 2024 was introduced
to the House of Representatives. Cyberspace Administration of China published
implementation guidelines for standard contracts on the cross-border flow of
personal information in mainland China and Macao.
