BEUC published
recommendations in response to the European Commission's call under Article
28(1) of the Digital Services Act.
The Finnish Data
Protection Ombudsman (DPO) ruled
that the EU’s GDPR requires cellphone operators to provide subscribers access
to their subscription data EU’s Commission sent
information requests to YouTube, Snapchat, and TikTok under DSA. AEPD released
a guide on the protection of children and adolescents in the digital
environment. Germany’s Federal Constitutional Court issued
a ruling on data collection and storage by police.

AMERICAS-
FCC settled
with T-Mobile US, Inc. for USD 15.75 million to resolve an investigation
regarding data breaches suffered by T-Mobile in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
FCC and the Department of Education published
a Cybersecurity Guide for schools. Connecticut enacted
its Online Privacy Act provisions on children's data.

ASIA PACIFIC-
OAIC closed
the investigation into 7-Eleven Stores Pty Ltd following the uplift of privacy
practices. Korea’s Personal Information Protection
Commission published
a case-based “Guide to Data Subjects’ Rights Regarding Automated Decisions”. OAIC registered
the new Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code 2024, enhancing privacy protections for
Australians' credit information and providing clearer guidelines.
