  • NOYB filed a complaint against Pinterest over user tracking without consent.

  • DPC fined LinkedIn Ireland €310 million for GDPR violations.

  • The government introduced  the Data (Use and Access) Bill in the UK parliament for a boost in the economy.

  • Lords European Affairs Committee wrote a letter to the UK Government regarding a recent inquiry into UK-EU data adequacy.

  • Justice Department issued a comprehensive proposed rule addressing national security risks posed to U.S. sensitive data.

  • CFPB finalised the personal financial data rights rule to boost competition, protect privacy, and give families more choices in financial services.

  • The Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) released a Personal Data Breach Incidents Procedural Guide on October 21, 2024.

  • Australian authority released new privacy guidance for charities and other NFPs.

  • Hong Kong’s authority issued a PCPD statement on LinkedIn's use of personal data to train generative AI models.
